From February 10 to May 6, 2024, the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka will hold the exhibition Claude Monet—Series Paintings, which follows the life of the master impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840–1926), who maintained a continual dialog with time and light, focusing on his series paintings, which are well-known in Japan as classic examples of the artist’s work. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the First Impressionist Exhibition that was first held in Paris in 1874, this show brings together over sixty masterpieces by Monet carefully selected from collections at more than thirty art museums throughout the world.
