World Art in Osaka
Including world-renowned artworks of Western modern art, such as a Modigliani nude and pieces by Jules Pascin, Kisling, and Constantin Brâncuși, of the School of Paris, the collection has garnered international attention. It also features notable works from artists who made their names in avant-garde early twentieth century European art movements such as Fauvism, Cubism, Dadaism, Surrealism, Futurism, and Constructivism. Our collection also includes works of Japanese modern art by artists who were active from the late nineteenth to the twentieth century, such as Kishida Ryusei and Fukuda Heihachiro. To add to the great range of works by key figures in the postwar Japanese art world, our collection also includes many works by their overseas counterparts-those who built an age of unique creation through movements such as American Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism, and movements that originated in Europe such as Art Informel and Arte Povera.
