The Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka is running an upcycling project to reuse massive banners from past exhibitions, rather than discarding them as waste. The sixth upcycling workshop, which is for elementary school students, has been set for July 24, 2024.
In this workshop, banners cut into circular and square shapes by the Ityounomori welfare facility will be turned into honeycomb ball wind-bells—three-dimensional works perfect for summer—by workshop participants using scissors and quick-drying glue provided by Konishi Co., Ltd.
