The Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka is running an upcycling project to reuse massive banners from past exhibitions, rather than discarding them as waste. The fifth upcycling workshop, which is for fifth graders in elementary school on up, has been set for May 19, 2024.
In this workshop, circular shapes cut from the banners by the Ityounomori welfare facility will be turned into floral plates—three-dimensional works that become attractive lifestyle items—by using scissors and quick-drying glue provided by Konishi Co., Ltd.
