The Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka will hold the exhibition Trio: Modern Art Collections from Paris, Tokyo and Osaka starting September 14, 2024.
This exhibition brings together the collections of museums in three cities that have fostered their own distinctive cultures—Paris, Tokyo, and Osaka. The Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris standing on the banks of the Seine, the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo located close to the Imperial Palace, and the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka in central Osaka City are art museums in major cities that have built rich modern art collections. This exhibition experiments with a distinctive and unprecedented presentation involving trios of exhibits, each of which is assembled by selecting works that share certain traits from the collections of all three museums.
Today, we are announcing an overview of the show in Osaka. Details can be found in the following PDF.
