The Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka was awarded the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s “Osaka Power Grand Prix 2022” on December 19, 2022. This is a prestigious award given to companies and organizations that have contributed to the industry and local economy of Osaka.

At the award ceremony, which was held in the International Conference Hall at the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the museum received an award certificate and trophy from Torii Shingo, Chairperson of the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a commemorative memento from Imamiya Ebisu Shrine. Sugaya Tomio, Director of the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, made the following comments. “Thanks to you all, the museum has been visited by many people since its opening. Survey results show that over sixty percent of visitors have been from Osaka, which reconfirms the fact that the people of Osaka love art. I am very happy that we have made it clear that Osaka is a city of art.”
