Attention visitors to Claude Monet: Journey to Series Paintings and Fukuda Heihachiro: A Retrospective (April 24, 2024 update)

04/24/2024

Admission to the exhibition Claude Monet: Journey to Series Paintings has been very crowded for several days in a row. At busy times, visitors with tickets may have to wait as long as one hour to get into the exhibition. The times with the greatest crowding are right after the museum opens and between lunch time and about 15:00. Currently, we recommend visiting the exhibition after 16:00. This applies on weekdays as well as on weekends and holidays.

Note, however, that visitors almost never have to wait in line to get into the Fukuda Heihachiro: A Retrospective exhibition. From the venue entrance on the second floor, follow the signs to the Fukuda Heihachiro exhibition rather than joining the queue for the Monet exhibition.

We recommend that visitors purchase tickets online or at convenience stores in advance. In addition to the wait to get into the exhibitions, visitors may also have to wait in line for as long as about half an hour to purchase tickets for the Monet or Fukuda Heihachiro exhibitions.

* For the Monet show, it can take as long as about one and a half hours in total to purchase tickets and wait in line to get into the exhibition.

Please consider purchasing your tickets in advance and avoiding visiting the exhibition at crowded times.
